SoHo Shenanigans

It may come as little surprise to you that we, being a group of teenage girls, absolutely hate school. Luckily, we had this past entire week off! So obviously we went totally crazy and partied the entire week away....lol jk. But we did have a lovely day about the city!
 First Stop: Whole Foods

What is life without yummy food? Meaningless. We decided to head over to Whole Foods to pick up lunch. Jess and I (Sophia) headed over to the sushi bar whilst Wendy went Indian. Thankfully Wendy got way too much food for one person at the Indian Bar so I was able to steal some of her Chicken Marsala. Sharing is caring.

Second Stop: Sephora

So then we headed to Sephora to do stupid girly stuff and smell perfume.

In't this a great deal? This giftset contains A 1.7 oz bottle of Marc Jacobs Daisy, and a shower gel and lotion of the scent! Not to mention the super cute bag. I think Jess is gonna have to save up her money and gift this to herself.

The Clean line of fragrances smells like unicorns and sunshine and rainbows and Harry Styles and basically everything good in the world....
 Third Stop: MAC

After some more wandering we found ourselves in MAC's SoHo location. It's so lovely inside! The makeup isn't half bad either.
As you can see, I was quite entertained by the decor.......
 Fourth Stop: Topshop

Finally, we headed to the famous Topshop. Jess and I had never been so we were excited to explore the store......

Sophia gives Top Shop's clothes a big thumbs up......

...and their prices a thumbs down.

Topshop's prices make me want to cry. Perhaps it's a good excuse to go to England to get their beautiful clothes marginally cheaper?

xoxoxo,
Jess, Sophia and Wendy.

Some stuff about Sophia.

Ciao ciao! (that was stupid I know) Since Wendell's about me was super cute I figured I should jump on the bandwagon. Sadly I'm neither as sassy or as eloquent as she, so instead of a well thought out paragraph  I'm just going to do a bullet-ed listed of pretty much arbitrary facts about me.

  • As Wendy stated I am 16 going on 17.
  • I obviously love clothes and makeup and shopping, I'm a pretty "girly" person.
  • I also have dyed red hair which has been described as a "fiery burgundy" color (this doesn't really tell you anything about my personality )
  • My favorite color is purple. Any and every shade from like eggplant to lavender is my kind of color one day I want my apartment to have a room that's entirely purple.
  • Sadly I don't have curly hair but I wish I did.
  • I love sixties' mod and twenties' flapper styles.
  • I hate school so much.
  • However I love learning and stuff especially history and English.
  • I'm a total sucker for interior decorating.
  • I don't know what else to say!!!!
  • My favorite TV shows are Doctor Who and Sherlock and they are basically the only ones I watch.
  • I love to read and write but I'm not very good at it.
  • I want to travel a lot.
  • I definitely consider myself a feminist however not an angry feminist... more like a happy one.
  • I don't have any pictures of my room to show you so sorry!
  • I look like that red headed girl in the pictures from SoHo.
Sadly I don't really have any pictures of my room to show you, but those are coming up! I look forward to spilling more of my life on this blog.

                                                                     Laterz,

Come On A Journey With Us: Wendy

You can possibly tell a little bit about us based on our clothes that Jess, Sophia and I had hauled in the past month, but here's a little bit more about me, Wendy. :) My clothes and my room can tell a lot about me. I've changed over the course of time and so have the 7 billion other people on this planet. I probably reinvented myself more times than I can count. I laughed, I cried. I had my ups and downs. I had times where I felt like sh*t and I had times where I felt like I was on top of the world. The summer of 2010 was the darkest period of my life (This is before I met Jess and Sophia). But luckily I had the support from my family and my friends and I got through it. I could possibly not be here if it wasn't for them. In the words of Robert Frost, "In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life — It goes on." And yes indeed life does go on. But moving away from the sad stuff I met and Sophia and Jess in my sophomore year of High School. I didn't expect that these two beautiful young girls would end up being my best friends.

The year 2013 is going to be HUGE for us three. We're 16 going on 17. That also means college is slowly approaching. Don't worry, Sophia, Jess and I intend to commit to this blog and our friendship. And in the words of Heidi Klum, we will "make it work." I plan to go to F.I.T (Fashion Institute of Technology) and  major in advertising and marketing communications or fashion merchandising management. I just want to work in the fashion industry no matter what. I love fashion and you can probably tell by how much I LOVE to shop or by how fashionably my room is decorated. . . jk. Well here's a look in my room, my most intimate place. This is where all the magic happens

This is a wine glass that I took from my mom's wine glass collection? I just love how the glass detailing looked so I decided to use it as a container for my bracelets.

A little tray I got a few years back that I use to contain random stuff. In the back I have two small shot glasses that holds my sample perfumes that I got from Sephora and a pair of gold bangles hanging around. Next to the shot glasses I have a vintage Dior perfume from Mama Ching. I don't particularly like the smell because it smells like it's for older women, but I kept it because of the bottle. I also have a few fall nail polishes there for easy access if I choose to paint my nails and a candle that smells like heaven. I have my trusty RayBan wayfarers that symbolizes the hope I have for summer to come faster. Some business cards from shops and coins from different countries and a Tiffany necklace that I got from my dad when I was younger... I think I lost the matching bracelet.

OMG dats my hair. Girl in a bun don't care (Can that be a thing?). This is my jewelry box minus the jewelry part. And yes those are bra pads in my jewelry box, because I do stuff like that. I use my Toms shoe box to store my massive collection of nail polish and I have a pack of gum on top.

A part of my wall. I just love fashion advertisements and how lovely they look on my wall. On the bottom right corner I have some magazine holders that I made a long time ago with several magazines and that is far from my magazine collection I tell you. And I have some Chinese stuff hanging and one of them is a orange beaded rat because that's a thing and I have it.

And finally you have a face for Wendy. Sorry If you were expecting Peter Pan's best friend, but I can promise you that I'm a trillion times better than her. Isn't this face full of sassiness?!!
P.S. Don't worry, I'm the good kind of sassiness that will brighten the atmosphere and mood.

Pretty clothes I now own!!!

  So I went shopping.
I'm never happier than when Urban Outfitters is having a sale. So when they were doing 20% off all sale items I was in materialistic heaven. My first purchase was the Staring at Stars Chiffon Hi-Low Skirt. Now here's the best part: Although the website says it's a whopping $60 I got it for a mere $38! My secong purchase was this totes gorg Lace Detailed Ribcage Muscle Tee by Truly Madly Deeply. With summer almost around the corner (only like 5 months left..ha) I cannot wait to wear this with high-waisted shorts but for now I think it'll look really lovely with just jeans and my fave creepers.
Next I went to H&M. I had been eyeing this beautiful sheer polka-doty shirt for ages now, and I'm so glad I finally got it and, of course at a discount, paying only $7 for it. I'm not going to be too rambley here as I'm featuring it in a  soon-to-come Outfit Of The Day.
So I guess I should leave with a little introduction. I'm the "the sexy and the most perfect unnatural redhead"  Wendy mentioned in our first "I'm Not Naked". I don't really know what else to say about myself other than the fact that I'm also pretty sassy and I really like time travel.
                                                                                         Laterz,
                                                                                                Sophia

Some New Clothes I Got wooo

Alright! I, Jess, am finally going to make a contribution to this blog. There are a few recent additions to my wardrobe that I would like to share and here they are, in order from the top: the

Voile Trapeze Slip in blue from Free People, the Fitted With Daisies Dress in black, also from Free People, Sadie Moon Tank in gray, from Brandy Melville, the Sadie Moon and Sun Tank also from Brandy Melville, and the Novelty Midi Ring from Free People.

As you may know, Sophia, Wendy, and I live in New York City. And as you also may know, it is winter in New York City. Since these facts are facts, I unfortunately have not been able to wear these wonderful dresses as much as I would like to.

Or, in the case of the polka dot dress, at all. I love this dress so much and I had my eye on it for a while, I was just waiting for my auntie to take me shopping to buy it. Heehee... So, you might be thinking "Why not just wear it with tights, Jess?" and I have thought about that, but honestly I'm not so sure I love this particular dress with tights. Anyway, it is a gorgeous dress and I'm actually hoping to get it in some other colors as well. Why can't Spring come sooner??!!!

However, because I still sort of refuse to accept that winter is here and winter is cold (psshhh it's only January... whatever, right?) I have worn the daisy cut out dress. What a dream. It is beautiful, and super cute with or without tights. I am definitely planing to save up and get this one in the merlot color as well.

Not to mention both of these dresses look simply amazing with thigh high socks. ; )

Continuing on, I later ventured to the Brandy Melville online store, and after a long week of anticipation, my purchases finally arrived all the way from California. I've always had a thing for suns and moons, and I am totally and completely in love with these tanks. Both can be paired with either a cute skirt (I wore the first with a black circle skirt from American Apparel, another love of mine) or with jeans!

The last thing I will talk about is the ring. I've been wanting for an accessory that I can wear with anything to show off my moon obsession, and this ring does that perfectly. (Please note the twisty ring is a separate, vintage piece.) I bought this ring at the same time I bought the two above dresses, and until I went on to the Free People website I had absolutely no idea it was supposed to be a midi ring. Oh, what boney-ass fingers I have. I suppose i could wear it as a midi on a different finger, but I think I like it where it is.

xx
Jess

P.S. I am definitely planning on making my hangers pretty using Wendy's DIY, below!!

Hanging with Style

Brandy Melville became an overnight sensation, just like that Asian dancing guy from South Korea or that kid from Canada. Brandy Melville became the "It" store attracting hundreds... probably thousands, of teenage girls. Not only do they have cute knits and tees, but they have cute-ass hangers, like how is this store real? Their hangers are totally adorable. They make your hangers look like butt. So one day I decided to make my own Brandy Melville inspired hangers. It's really cheap to do and fun, so why not do it yourself, gurlfran?!!
All you need are: Metal hangers
                                 Fabric
                                 Hot glue gun
                                 AND YOURSELF!!! :)
1. Gather your supplies

2. Cut your fabric into strips

 3. Get your hot glue gun ready and start putting glue on the metal hanger and right after take a strip and wrap it around.
 4. Wrap the hanger with the strip until it's finished.

5. Repeat Steps 3 and 4 until the hanger is covered with fabric
AND FINALLY drum roll please . . . . Brandy Melville inspired hangers!!!! yay!!!

Hope you enjoy this quick and fun D.I.Y
                                                                                        Mil besos,
                                                                                            Wendy

I'm Not Naked for 2013!!!

Hey D.I.Ying and Styling ladies and gents, Happy Non-Chinese New Year to me. As the new year begins we should all start with a fashionable entrance. So why not do a little shopping with that non- Chinese New Year money? One of my favorite online site is Nastygal and they happened to know that I got my non- Chinese New Year money and decided to have their sale. I did refrain myself from buying everything and ended up buying two beautiful articles of clothing that I wanted for so long. Their sales are always the best. I ended up getting the Unif Kickflip dress and Oh my unicorns it's gorgeous. I've always wanted to purchase this and with the retail price of $110 I was reluctant, but when Nastygal had it on sale for $77 I had to buy it. As cliche as this sounds, this dress can be styled in a more casual way or in a formal way so that's why I HAD to get it. Another purchase from Nastygal was the House of Holland "Super Suspender" these tights are pricy but totally worth it. I got them for $22.50 but gurl, they're suspenders and tights; killing two birds with one stone.

My next stop was Urban Outfitters. This is the place where I get my jeans. The BDG brand that Urban carries can make some stellar pair of jeans. During Christmas break they had a sale where all BDG jeans where only $39. So I ended up getting two pairs; the mid-rise twig jean in moss green and in black. They are absolutely jeans sent from heaven or Buddha just made for me, like seriously. And this time Urban had such a great sale section. I ended up getting the war-tapestry printed white shirt. I love the print and the relaxing fit that the shirt brings to my wardrobe and guess what? I only got it for $15 smack-maroons and it retails for $44, say whatttt?

And finally I saved the only thing made in the U.S last. . . . American Apparel. American Apparel has great basics for a hefty price, but thanks to the Shopping Gods that the American Apparel factory Outlet was still happening in New York City and I got this shirt for more than 50% off. Score!!!

And by the way I'm Wendy, the Asian with a sassy heart, like I'm really sassy. I'll sass you out of this world anytime and anyday.
                                                                                    Mil besos (Thousand kisses),
                                                                                        Wendy

AND BTW Sophia (the sexy and the most perfect unnatural redhead) might write her college essay on Haylor or BlackMilkClothing leggings.
